Robo-Spiders and Expeditions in Wall World Strategy
Robo-spiders are specialised machines built for scouting, resource extraction and work in remote areas that are too dangerous or out of reach for people. They mine, fight, work with the Technopark and go out on expeditions into uncharted sectors of the Wall. Those sectors hold resources and rare discoveries, and also hostile ground you have to judge before every launch.
4 Jobs: scouting, mining, combat, expeditions
3 Listed robo-spider changes
4 Expedition hazards named on the store page
Technopark Building they work with
Before you send them out Prepare the equipment, weigh what the sector could hold against what could go wrong, and decide how far you are willing to push. Robo-spiders go where colonists cannot, but distant regions bring risks as well as rewards.
Sheet 01
What robo-spiders do at home
- Idle or assigned — Robo-spiders are either idle or assigned to a task. Playtest v0.3.0 improved how both states behave, so assigned spiders stick to their job and idle ones stay out of the way.
- Technopark work — Their interactions with the Technopark were refined in the same update, alongside mining, expeditions and combat, the four places they appear in official notes.
- Mining support — Resource extraction is one of their core jobs. They complement the miners who work excavation points inside the Wall's mines.
- City navigation — The Demo Update improved how robo-spiders find their way through the city. Clear road and stair layouts help them reach jobs quickly.

Running an expedition
- Why go — Expeditions expand your reach, gather resources and uncover rare discoveries in sectors of the Wall your colony cannot reach on its own.
- What can go wrong — Four dangers are named: hostile environments, unstable terrain, unknown lifeforms and remnants of ancient machinery whose purpose is long forgotten.
- Prepare and assess — Alawar's advice is to prepare your equipment, assess the risks and decide how far you are willing to go. A shorter run with a safe return beats a lost team.
- What you bring back — The depths hold valuable materials, technological samples that speed up development and unique objects that explain more about the Wall.
